Below are all the episode names and chronological order to the Robots In Disguise cartoon television series. Also listed to the right are the Japanese names and episode numbers. Both have original air dates under them in yellow. Since the series aired in Japan first uninterrupted, we use those episodes as the basis for the chronological order.
Robots in Disguise premiered on Fox Kids September 8th, 2001. This was 3 days before the 9/11 attacks in the United States. Though RID was a very immature show overall, it was action oriented, and involved some battle scenes where buildings or enviornments were destroyed. Since new episodes were airing Monday-Friday to start the show off instead of the normal “one a week on Saturday morning” situation, several key episodes were pulled and recut. Some episodes were removed completely and never aired in the USA.
Secret of the Ruins was delayed and recut to remove questionable scenes.
Hope for the Future was a recap episode which had scenes from Secret of the Ruins, and other questionable scenes, so it was recut and aired later out of order.
The episodes Attack from Outer Space, Landfill, and Sky-Byte saves the day never aired in the USA. Attack from Outer Space did air on YTV in Canada, and all aired in the UK. All are also on the UK DVD Boxsets.
These recuts lead to several episodes being aired out of order due to not being done in time to air in Japanese continuity.
